Win an HP Mini 210 from Hewlett Packard Canada and @hummingbird604

HP Mini 210-2090CAYou may remember that last year I reviewed the Hewlett Packard HP Photosmart Premium C309 All-In-One Printer. I recently published a third post indicating that I finally figured out how to scan-to-PDF using the USB wired connection to the printer. And you may or may not know this, but I’ve been a fan of Hewlett Packard for decades. Most of the stuff I have bought (and all of my printers, so far) have been HP.

HP Canada has been kind enough to offer a lucky reader of mine a chance to win an HP Mini 210 (the actual code for this netbook is HP Mini 210-2090CA). My contest is particularly relevant in light of the recent opening of the HP store in Vancouver (I attended the launch a few weeks ago). I requested a few relevant facts on the HP Store|Vancouver:

The HP Store|Vancouver is HP’s first retail store in Canada. Located at 1162 Alberni Street in Vancouver, British Columbia, it opened on December 3rd, 2010 and is operated in collaboration with B.C.-based MarkR Management Inc., an IT Management Solutions Company. HP Store Employees will be sporting Uniforms Made in Canada. The organic HP Store uniform tops are created by Mark Trotzuk, a Vancouver native who has raised the bar for environmentally responsible clothing in North America. Customers will take their new purchases home in HP Store Bags made from 50% recycled materials (pre-consumer and post-consumer waste). The HP Store Bags are 100% recyclable.

I have yet to visit the HP|Vancouver store but I plan to make the trek soon, probably to check out the HP Mini 210 which I am now giving away. I particularly loved the sleek design and the red colour. Crazy but true: even as a geek, I’m all about the fashion and style.

Prepare to be noticed when you take this netbook out on the town. Small, slim and stylish, the HP Mini 210 lets you surf the web, stay connected, and be entertained wherever you go. Amp up the fun by playing videos and music or showing off your photos. Exclusive, integrated software keeps you in sync with your life by letting you e-mail, chat, and instantly access your files even when you’re away from your main PC.

I would give it to my son to use for all things technical. He does not have a computer and uses the computers at school to get his work done. I don’t have a computer myself. It would be great for him to have the mobility and use the netbook at home. I feel as though he is losing out.

My daughter would actually be the main user- on the bus to school, in class for assignments and presentations, and at home for social networking.

i could use a netbook for school. since im always moving between classes and i have to commute back and forth i could really use something lighter than my current laptop 🙂

I would use the notebook on the bus to & from work in order to cut down the amount of time I have to be away from my family during the day. I would also use it during my work day, not only for work but to record what I’m doing, how I’m feeling & what I’m thinking about so that when they grow, my kids will have a picture of the person I am.

I would take it everywhere I go and have the opportunity to write/post/tweet wherever I am. Also, it would be great to have the chance to have a good writing session in the great outdoors.

As a mobile mortgage broker I have to lug my Laptop everywhere – it would make things so much easier if I had a HP mini.
