Chip’s Not Dead Yet Memorial Mile (Saturday, June 20th, 2009)

A few months back, I was amongst a group of bloggers who were invited to be part of the launch of the Chip is Not Dead Yet Memorial Mile. I had even promised to run in my underwear if I raised $5,000. Unfortunately, Vancouver’s first ever ChangeCamp is also taking place on the same day and I kind of have already committed to ChangeCamp as well. Not a good idea to over-commit, I know, but what can I do? All I can say is that I’m committed to the cause. Also, my good friend Arieanna posted a great and very heart felt entry on the role that CNDY is playing in raising funds for BC Children’s Hospitals. You may know that not I have several friends who are pregnant – Arieanna, Kerry and my brother’s partner CS. Children are very near and dear to my heart. I’m good friends with several mommy bloggers in Vancouver and I personally enjoy the company of the little ones. Moreover, as you might have read on my previous entry for CNDY, one of my nephews spent some time in intensive care and thus I am always passionate about children’s health.
