Vancouver Queer Film Festival 2011 (preview and giveaway)

Celebrate Queer Vancouver and Launch of Vancouver Queer Film FestivalEvery year, for the past 4 or 5 years, I’ve been covering the Vancouver Queer Film Festival. From what I recall, this wonderful festival that celebrates and educates folks on queer life and queer cinema is the second largest film festival (just behind the Vancouver International Film Festival, which is happening next month). This year an excellent series of event we’ve had are the Celebrate Queer Vancouver 2011.

Vancouver Queer Film Fest 2010Celebrate Queer Vancouver is part of the Vancouver 125 festivities. You can buy Festival Passes here and tickets here. I must admit that the lineup of films looks really amazing. Doing something really innovative and fun, making use of ScribbleLive technology, my good friend Mark Robins is capturing on GayVancouver in real time everything related to VQFF. Check his post here.

I will be covering the VQFF this year again and providing you with reviews of several of the movies, from August 11th to August 21st. Hope you have a chance to enjoy! This is a most wonderful festival and you should totally check it out. For coverage of previous years, check my VQFF tagged posts.
