Build a blog entry around a photograph (Blogging 201)
This is a tip that is perhaps very unique to me, but sometimes, despite the fact that I receive hundreds of PR pitches, I don’t feel that they are appropriate for me to write or they fly by me. Sometimes I find something interesting that I think “I should write about this” but I don’t get around doing it. Thus, what I do is I take photographs (lately, mostly with my iPhone camera) and then build a blog entry around them. For example, I was fascinated by the fact that the Bellini I had when I went to see Billy Bishop Goes to War and had a drink at the Backstage Lounge was so pretty. So, I took a photo of said Bellini.
And then I built a post around it, asking my readers where they thought they had had the best Bellini in town. Thus, what I did is I used a photo to build an entry around it. You may find this useful too, if you find yourself with a dearth of ideas on what to blog about.
That’s not unique to you. I do that all the time! Sometimes I don’t even need to write a blog post because the picture is so good it *is* the blog post all on it’s own.

Oh I didn’t mean it was unique to me. None of my tips are “unique” – they are intended to help people who already blog but are trying to get to the next level đŸ™‚
