Bowfest 2009 coming up this Saturday Aug 29th
Via Robert Ballantyne (a good friend of mine and local resident of Bowen Island) I found out about Bowfest 2009, a day-long celebration and community fair that takes place on this beautiful area (one that I still haven’t explored, despite my interest in organizing a Geek Road Trip to Bowen).
It looks like I could have organized the road trip for this coming Saturday, but my very best friend from the MBA program is getting married this coming Saturday and I have no intention whatsoever of missing her wedding, so I am going to ask my readers to go and visit Bowen Island this coming Saturday (August 29th). The Bowfest parade starts at 10:30am. Check the event’s website for more information.

I saw the title and wondered, “cool, is this string instruments or archery?” I… guess Bowen Island is almost as good as archery. đŸ™‚
Won’t be able to make, my fiance-to-be (I’m proposing this weekend, but don’t tell her!!!!!)
