Congratulations to @iancapstick and @shawndearn on their engagement

Ian Capstick (MediaStyle) is someone I consider a good friend. We met at Northern Voice, we both spoke at Northern Voice (this year, we did a panel on social media and government) and we have a number of intellectual affinities. Even if we don’t see each other very often, we are good friends. And I just learned on my way to Calgary that he is getting married to his boyfriend Shawn Dearn (I suppose from now on, fiance until the impending nuptials). Ian organized CupcakeCamp in Ottawa and I suspect the wedding reception will involve cupcakes. Congratulations, Ian and Shawn! May the wedding be on a weekend I’m in Ottawa so I can crash your party, hehehehe (just kidding). This has been a bit of good news on an otherwise rough weekend.
