“Couldn’t Stand The Weather” by Stevie Ray Vaughan

I’m always amazed at how much music can make me feel happy and bring me out of a rut. This afternoon, I was feeling a bit down (which, as I noted on Twitter, was a bit ironic considering that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with my life as it stands right now and I have every reason to be happy). So I decided to crank out the loud music.

I heard this song, “Couldn’t Stand The Weather” by Stevie Ray Vaughan, this past Friday while having lunch with my good friend Rebecca Bollwitt (she Shazam’d the song for me, for which I’m grateful because I don’t have a data plan and thus couldn’t have tagged the song – and side note, I love Shazam. Both the iPhone music-recognizing song and the econometrics software, both named Shazam). I found a better video on Blip.fm but couldn’t find the YouTube equivalent. Hope this song has the same effect on you as it did on me – it put me in SUCH a great mood!
