The water footprint of tea
I was observing a conversation on Twitter between Pete Quily and Jonathon Narvey on coffee consumption and I was reminded of my blog entry on water footprint and coffee. The sad part (as I am a coffee drinker myself) is that on average, the water footprint calculation yields 140 litres being used for coffee production. Another sad thing is that even for a cup of tea, we still consume 34 litres.
Many thanks to Glenn Gaetz for the link to this article. Very much appreciated. Now, if I could only sway myself away from tea AND coffee!

interesting, i never thought about it that way. i don’t drink coffee but i do drink a couple of cups of herbal tea a day.
