Happy birthday Mom/Feliz cumpleaños, Madre

My Mom has always been my best friend. Ever since I was a child, I had a great affinity for her personality, and as my Dad has said multiple times, I’m exactly 50% my Mom and 50% my Dad. My Mom (who did a PhD in Government and Public Administration when she already had 4 children doing their Masters or PhDs) has been a professor for decades, and as I told her yesterday as I was driving her to one of many birthday celebrations, if I were to be born again, I would definitely choose to be born to my Mom.

Madre, hoy y siempre sabes lo mucho que te quiero, que te respeto y que te admiro. Yo soy exitoso en gran parte gracias a tu tenacidad, tu capacidad de trabajo, tu ejemplo, tu constancia y tus valores. Espero que hoy y siempre disfrutes de tu cumpleaños. Y obviamente, no omito recordarte que te quiero mucho, hoy y siempre.
