Away (and in the physical sense!)

As it turns out, I’m going away (to Calgary) leaving today, for a few days. Since my laptop is pretty much dead, I don’t think I’ll really have internet access, so keeping in touch with me will have to be via SMS if at all. I also don’t expect to be able to Twitter or do anything remotely related to blogging. I have a couple of blog posts queued thanks to WordPress’ brilliant “Schedule” function, but for the most part, I’ll be unavailable.

I am actually looking forward to this break. This is the very first time I spend Christmas in Canada, and the very first time that I am really disconnected. I’m still trying to figure out how to set up the “extended absence” functions in all my email accounts, and I wish Twitter had a similar function. But they don’t, so maybe that’s something that BrightKit could pick up on.

At any rate, I am also very sorry to be missing the Meetup of Meetups tonight. My flight leaves at 7.30pm and I don’t want to miss it, but I’m hoping everyone will have a great time tonight. I know that Shane, Tanya and Steve have worked really hard to make this work and I very firmly support their efforts.
