UBC Faculty of Arts Last Lecture “In Conversation with George Stromboloupoulos”
I used to trick Google into separating both of my identities online, the professor/academic and the human/socialite. The reality is, about 90% of my students now know both of my identities, so it’s kind of useless to do so. And I love using the online power of the Hummingbird604 to promote my students’ projects. In particular, this Arts Undergraduate Society (AUS) project: the Arts Last Lecture, which this year brings Canada’s boyfriend (and here I thought *I* was Canada’s boyfriend, but apparently George is, hehe): George Stromboloupolulos.
Tickets are insanely cheap ($10-$12) and for the first time, the Arts Last Lecture is open to the public, so you should come! It will be undertaken “In Conversation” style.
This year’s Last Lecture features a more interactive “in conversation” style with audience participation. Join us for an intriguing evening of conversation with Canadian media personality and humanitarian George Stroumboulopoulos, March 16 at the UBC Old Auditorium!
We will also be hosting a small, intimate reception with George following the main event. If you are interested in attending, please select this as a “ticket add-on” when on the ticket purchase screen. The reception will be a wine and cheese event and thus is 19+ only. Please note we are not currently accepting anymore RSVP’s to the reception.
Sounds like it will be a great event.
