Appreciating my health and my brain
Being sick for the better part of two weeks is not fun. Being sick to the point where my brain is actually, completely unable to function, is even worse. You’ll see, whether I like it or not, my brain is my work equipment. I teach, do research, consult, train and mentor students. My job does not stop with my 9-5, I also do social media stuff, and try to maintain a blog of decent repute for a large audience, as well as a variety of social media platforms. Obviously, if you want me to write something mildly coherent, I need to be mildly functional as well. Well, to be quite honest, I haven’t had the presence of mine to do anything mildly coherent in the past week. Which totally sucks. But now I appreciate my health and my brain even more. And let me tell you something: I am no longer the superhero I once was.
