Win a copy of Jodi Picoult’s “Sing You Home” – Vancouver International Writers & Readers Festival 2011

I was approached by Simon and Schuster Canada a few weeks ago to read and review Canadian author Jodi Picoult‘s most recent novel “Sing You Home“. Ms. Picoult is in Vancouver on Sunday March 13th (in tandem with the Vancouver International Readers and Writers Festival 2011) and Simon and Schuster Canada folks were kind enough to give me FOUR (4) copies of “Sing You Home” to give away to my readers.

Ideally, the winners can take these copies to the event on Sunday and have Ms. Picoult sign them there. I will have the copies at the front desk of my office at The Network Hub, on the 3rd floor, 422 Richards Street (Richards and West Hastings).

In the aftermath of a series of personal tragedies, Zoe throws herself into her career as a music therapist. When an unexpected friendship slowly blossoms into love, she makes plans for a new life, but to her shock and inevitable rage, some people—even those she loves and trusts most—don’t want that to happen.

Sing You Home is about identity, love, marriage, and parenthood. It’s about people wanting to do the right thing for the greater good, even as they work to fulfill their own personal desires and dreams. And it’s about what happens when the outside world brutally calls into question the very thing closest to our hearts: family.
