Keloha Music & Arts Festival 2012 (Kelowna Waterfront Park, July 6-8) [win a prize pack!]
Even though I have rarely had the opportunity to travel to Kelowna (and mostly I have gone only for academic conferences), I always have thought that it is an oasis within the province of British Columbia. I have a quick, 2-day contest to promote the new festival: Keloha Music & Arts Festival 2012, and you can enter by telling me your favorite Canadian artist/band on the comments section. My prize pack includes a meet-and-greet with headliner Dan Mangan (whom we all love) and a pair of passes for the Keloha Music & Arts Festival (it does not include transportation to and from Kelowna, nor accomodation though).
Keloha Music & Arts Festival is a waterfront escape into music and arts hosted in Kelowna’s Waterfront Park, along the beautiful Okanagan Lake on July 6 – 8, 2012. The all-ages event features 2 stages, arts exhibitions and installations, a beverage garden (19+), and an exhibitors’ village. The lineup has a heavy emphasis on rock, indie, alternative, and folk: 26 bands with one thing in common; they have an amazing live show. Artists set to take stage include Cold War Kids, AWOLNATION, Tokyo Police Club, The Sheepdogs, The Joy Formidable, Graffiti6, Dan Mangan, The Limousines, and The Dudes
It sounds like it will be an amazing showcase, with artists exhibiting their work for free, and it will be definitely family friendly. Plus the bands’ lineup sounds fantastic. More on these bands from the press release:
