Send a cheer to your Canadian Olympians with RBC Cheer Tour (Vancouver stops this weekend)

Hometown Champs Cheer TourWhen I played highly-competitive volleyball, the thing that kept me (and my team) going was the fact that we were representing our school, our city, our state and in several tournaments our nation. So, for me, cheering for athletes is actually something I’m really keen on. RBC informed me of their upcoming RBC Cheer Tour stops in Vancouver on July 1st and 2nd (more information below).

Check out this video featuring Canadian Olympic swimmer Scott Dickens (whom, for some reason, I feel as though I know – maybe I bumped into him when I was swimming at the UBC Aquatic Centre?).

RBC is traveling across Canada in three London cabs, asking Canadians to send a cheer to our Olympic athletes for the RBC Cheer Tour, and they are asking you (my dear readers) to participate in one of their Vancouver stops:

We’d like to invite you and your local readers to attend a stop on our RBC Cheer Tour to send a cheer to members of the Vancouver Olympic team (like swimmers Savannah King, Paralympic swimmer Paul Gauthier or soccer player Shannon Woeller, who is still qualifying) on the following dates:

July 1: 1-5 pm, Granville Island (1661 Duranleau Street) and 6-830pm, Canada Day at Gastown (332 Water Street)

July 2: 12-3pm, Stanley Park and 4-8pm Robson Park

If I were in Vancouver right now I totally would but I am not, but don’t let this preclude you from attending!
