In Memoriam: Robin Gibb (1949-2012)
When we would have parties at my grandparents, my aunts and I would dance to The Bee Gees’ music. I grew up listening to their music even if I was too young to be “of that era” (my parents were of that era, however. Which is what makes it all the more shocking, as my parents are, very happily, still alive). I just found out that Robin Gibb just passed away of cancer, a couple of days after Donna Summer (read my tribute to Donna Summer here). I wish cancer would simply stop taking valuable people from this world. Rest in peace, Robin Gibb. You and your brothers brought much joy to me and many other thousand folks.

So saddened to hear of the loss of one of the BeeGees best, Robin Gibb. They made such a great contribution to disco music and it is unfortunate that he died at such a young age. Rest in peace, Robin.
