Sunday Brunch for Qmunity (April 29th, 2012)
As part of my increased involvement with the queer community in Vancouver in the past five years, I have covered a number of events and written stories highlighting queer issues. One of the charities that is most dear and near to my heart is Qmunity, for a number of reasons. David Hannigan (a dear friend of mine) is on the Board of Directors of Qmunity, several of the Board members are friends of mine too, and Qmunity is also one of the charitable organizations of choice of another close friend of mine, Mark Robins (founder of GayVancouver.net).
Furthermore, my dear friend Marc Smith dedicated all of 2011 to run a number of extremely successful events in support of Qmunity as the charity of choice for his company, Amuse Events Consulting. All around, I have many, many reasons to support Qmunity, and thus I am excited to attend (and I encourage you to do so as well) Sunday Brunch for Qmunity, hosted at Ensemble Tap by Chef Dale MacKay, the winner of Top Chef Canada, on April 29th, 2012 from 11am to 3pm.
Just $25 per ticket includes a gorgeous eTap Brunch (choice of Dale MacKay’s three signature brunch entrees), fresh-squeezed Mimosa, Coffee, Live Entertainment. Doors open at 11am, brunch starts at noon with entertainment to follow. Seating is limited to 130 so purchase tickets early!
Hosted by Top Chef Canada Winner Dale MacKay, Executive Chef Brad Hendrickson. The seating is QMUNAL unless booking large party. There will be burlesque beauties, drag queens, live entertainment, raffle & door prizes. QMUNITY receives 25% of event proceeds + $1 per Special Drink sold.
