Dining Out For Life 2012 (March 29th, 2012)

dining out for lifeI have been blogging about Dining Out For Life (and participating in the event) for, at least, the last 5 years. The motto of Dining Out for Life is “Make a difference. Dine out & support people living with HIV/AIDS“. A few years ago (the very first time I did a Blogathon) I raised funds for A Loving Spoonful, as I am in complete awe of their mission: to provide nutritious meals to people living with HIV/AIDS. Dining Out For Life is a charitable project that supports the mission of A Loving Spoonful, and as queer issues are important to me, and HIV/AIDS is an issue relevant to gay men, I think it’s a worthy cause.

Dining Out For Life is BC’s largest restaurant fundraiser, Dining Out For Life 2012 (media event)benefiting A Loving Spoonful and Friends For Life. Over 250 restaurants from Whistler to White Rock and across the Fraser Valley will contribute 25% of their sales that day to people living with HIV/AIDS. Participating restaurants from Whistler to White Rock and across the Fraser Valley have raised over $3 million for HIV/AIDS support services over 16 years. Invite your friends & dine out on March 29.

You can check the participating restaurants here. I will definitely be Dining Out For Life on March 29th, 2012. Please consider participating in this wonderful event.
