What is your favorite martini?
Despite the fact that when I did a Flickr search on my stream for “martini” I found that I have a few very blurry photos of martinis I’ve had in the past, the truth is, I am an absolute lover of the drink. I find that other drinks may or may not be as enjoyable, but I have gone from being a “gin and tonic” kind of guy to being a “sweet, ‘girly’ martini” kind of guy. One of my absolute favorites was the one we had a few weeks ago at Prestons, the Toblerone Martini. Sweet and chocolate-infused. Another restaurant that has martinis that I totally love is The Crime Lab. And one more that has really good martinis is Haro’s Restaurant at the Sidney Pier hotel in Sidney, BC.
So, I ask you, my dear reader – what is your favorite martini, and where do you usually get it?

The Toblerone one was awesome indeed. Never tried the Crime Lab–should give it a try when I have disposable income (sigh!).
I really like the Raspberry Crush at Earl’s. And there’s a place in Edmonton called Devlin’s that has an excellent choice–a lot of chocolate ones too, you’d like it.

There is only one, TRUE, martini. Gin and Vermouth, with a pimento stuffed green olive and a flamed peel of lemon. STIRRED, not shaken!!!
My favorite has got to be a Grey Goose martini, extra dirty, extra dry with 3 olives. I love the ones they serve up at the Shore Club.
