National Coffee Day 2011
While I feel incredibly guilty about the fact that the water footprint of coffee is 140 litres of water, I do love my coffee in the morning. I actually refuse to be held accountable for anything I say before I have had my first caffeine intake. It’s the one thing that really launches my morning. And I love having coffee with my friends (just ask my friend Lisa and our love of Take 5 Cafe near my office at The Network Hub). The online buzz is indicating that today is International Coffee Day (or National Coffee Day) which actually does have a Wikipedia entry. I do hope that people will take some time to reflect on the fact that coffee does have a high water footprint and at least drink ethical, fair trade coffee.
Happy National Coffee Day!
