Creative Minds at Woodwards Cafe September 2nd
A couple of months ago, my friends Chet Woodside and Jay Catalan told me “we think Creative Minds is coming to Vancouver, and it’s a super cool project with which we would like to get involved”. I said “well, if Mark Busse has to do anything to do with it, I’m pretty sure I can connect you”. Mark Busse is a close friend of mine. AND, I realized, the mastermind behind Creative Minds Vancouver. WOWZA. For the first Creative Minds breakfast, the Vancouver chapter will host Stewart Butterfield, co-founder of Flickr (among other ventures). I met Stewart a few years ago at Northern Voice.
The inaugural breakfast of Creative Mornings Vancouver, a free monthly lecture series for creatives, taking place Friday, September 2 at W2 Media Cafe. Creative Mornings started in New York in 2009 and has since expanded to cities around the world, attracting top creative professionals for free breakfast, free coffee and free inspiration from some of the world’s most creative thinkers. The format is the same in every city, for every event: 20-minute talk, 20-minute Q&A, 20-minute mingler. Breakfast and coffee are always complimentary. And the idea is to get everyone in and out by 10am so they can hit work after getting all juiced up with creative inspiration.
Registration starts Monday, August 29 at 11am – and will likely sell out fast.
You can register on the Eventbrite, check out their Facebook and follow them on Twitter. And congratulations to Mark for bringing this to our beautiful city and his team of volunteers. I’m sure they’ll also be looking for sponsors so connect with Mark soon.

So much interesting stuff! Totally going.
Thanks for the plug Raul—you really are a gem.
