Heritage houses on Hamilton Street (Yaletown)

I have always been curious as to why some heritage houses are being used for offices. It’s not something I’m unfamiliar with. Using houses as offices is a very common practice, both in Mexico (at least in my hometown) and I’ve seen it done here in Canada (specifically in Victoria). But I am always amazed at the heritage houses on Hamilton Street. If I had the money, I’d probably live in one AND have an office downstairs too.

Have you ever seen these houses or any other heritage houses being used as offices?
