A quick visit to Canada Day at Canada Place

This afternoon, my good friend Minna Van (co-founder of The Network Hub) and I went to Canada Place for the Canada Day. It was a completely packed (and just judging by what we saw in one quick 1-hour stroll), a very successful event. I know that the celebrations of Canada Day are still going but I have work to do so I will not be coming back.

We walked by the Social Media Hub that VIA and Miss604 sponsored, and bumped briefly into Rick Chung who was there for VIA.

We strolled around the different exhibits and got a chance to see some fun stuff, like the Olympic cauldron re-lit, girls’ indoor soccer and promotions of healthy eating by the BC government.

Luckily there was some sun, and both Minna and I got a chance to stroll and strut our red colours and Canadian flags. I continue to be, on an every day basis, mesmerized by how wonderful Vancouver is. It’s a sea of people, but overall it’s been a fantastic celebration.

Thanks for the coverage Hummingbird604, glad you enjoyed your time at Canada Place. This year is on record as the best attended to date. The weather cooperated and as you mentioned there was a great cross-section of Vancouver represented in the crowds. Hope to see you at some of Canada Place’s summer events that are still to come.
