BG Urban Café (Downtown Vancouver)

I recently attended the reopening of BG Urban Café (a rebranded version of the Bread Garden, one of my favorites as a matter of fact). My friends Dawn Chubai and Rebecca Bollwitt and Chris Coburn battled in a version of Iron Chef Vancouver to build the best sandwich, with Dawn coming the winner). I really didn’t have the time to stay for long, so I just took a few photos and sampled some of their dishes.

The risotto was to-die-for, to be quite honest.

Their sandwiches are what makes the Bread Garden (now BG Urban Café) so characteristic (and SO GOOD).

This was my absolute favorite: the aioli chicken sandwich.

And it was good to see a few friends, even for a short little while.

Overall, I loved the sandwiches, and this I think is the winner of the competition (congratulations, Dawn)
