Vancouver Craft Beer Week (May 6-14)
What, did you think I wasn’t planning on covering Vancouver Craft Beer Week 2011? Not a chance. Writing a lifestyle blog means having to include food, travel, recreation, arts, and of course, social drinking. And we know our Vancouverites love their beer. It’s particularly exciting to see so much enthusiasm around craft beer. I’m a big fan of craft beer myself.
More about Vancouver Craft Beer Week:
Featuring larger events, more breweries and special guests from the brewing industry (local and abroad), VCBW consists of a series of signature festival events and independently-organized satellite events at numerous venues around town.
There are numerous fantastic events planned for Vancouver Craft Beer Week 2011, paired tastings of food and beer, events on the relationship between beer and cocktails, showcases of different breweries, etc. The list of breweries of VCBW reads almost like a Who is Who in Craft Beer in British Columbia. I am a fan of Howe Sound Brewery, Steamworks and Yaletown Brewing Company, to mention a few. You should definitely check it Vancouver Craft Beer Week. I know for a fact that I (or someone who will be guest-blogging for me) will be checking out some of the events (as I am doing the academic conference circuit and I cannot be at all events, even if I wanted to!). Stay tuned for my coverage (my tag will be Vancouver Craft Beer Week 2011 and VCBW2011)
