Announcing The Artwork Hub exhibit at The Network Hub (May 2, 2011)
My consulting studio has had a home at The Network Hub since 2008, and I’ve grown much as an entrepreneur, a professional and as a human being thanks to the support of the community at The Network Hub. Minna, Jay and John have had the vision to do as much as they do to promote local entrepreneurs and extend it to promote local plastic artists. So, as the Executive Advisor to the Board of The Network Hub, I’m proud to invite you to the launch of The Artwork Hub.

Many visitors to The Network Hub have commented on how our space would make for an ideal art gallery. Our third floor lounge has expansive white walls, high ceilings accented by brick walls, and large windows that fill the room with natural light. There’s also been suggestions that our built-in traffic through the various events and workshops held at The Network Hub could help showcase local up and coming artists.
Through a series of chats with some friends involved in the Vancouver arts community, we have come to understand that budget cuts have limited the ability of a lot of art galleries to profile new artists.
So, we have decided to do our bit to support the local arts community. We are experimenting with converting our office into an art gallery space.
There will be no charge for the exhibition, and we will not take a commission on any art pieces that are sold. 100% of the money generated will go back to the artist, although we do encourage the artist to donate 10% to a charity.
