The urban architecture of Yaletown
The more Yaletown densifies the more I am in awe. It’s a beautiful neighbourhood with great density, but with ZERO affordability.
I honestly wonder what residents of Yaletown, particularly creekside, feel about it. I have a tonne of friends who live in this area, particularly the marina side. I’ll have to ask them!

I live in the building in your second picture Raul (Coopers Point by the Cambie Bridge). Dog park for my two labs, walk to work, walk to four grocery stores and tons of restos, sea wall, great city views and I rent for less than the average rate ($1.95/sf vs $2 to $2.40/sf) in the City or even the West End. THIS is a walkable community and a huge part of why I moved back to Van from car obsesssed California. Love it!
and PS – my 18yr old niece (19 on Saturday – help!) also lives with me (for now) and thinks she’s in some kind of urban nirvanna.
My niece is 20 right now, Chris. I’m afraid of when she wants come visit Vancouver. She won’t want to leave (which is great, because I love her, but I’m like any other uncle, a control freak!)
I do love Yaletown, I just don’t know if I can afford it at this point.
