BC Sparkle Gala 2011

I’ve been an ardent supporter of the Starlight Children’s Foundation, for many reasons, not the least the fact that I have 9 nieces and nephews (by blood, and many more who are children of very close friends of mine). I have been invited to attend the Starlight Children’s Foundation’s sixth annual fundraising gala, “Sparkle”, Saturday March 12, at Performance Works. This signature event will be hosted by CTV and Rita Rogers from the Vancouver Canucks and will include special guest Sam Sullivan and her son five year old Baird (you may recall Baird from my blog post when I gave away a Finnspiration Bear).

Guests attending the event will be entertained throughout the evening with the sensational sounds of local jazz favourite Lesismore, a fabulous fashion show hosted by Vladimir Markovich of BC Fashion Week, featuring fashions by JC Studio and incredible prizes and a live and silent auction that includes a Grey’s Anatomy set visit.

I will be a guest of the Starlight Children’s Foundation and will be attending BC Sparkle 2011 on Saturday March 12th.

The Starlight Children’s Foundation is a non-profit organization that exists to help seriously ill children and their families cope with their pain, fear and isolation through entertainment, education and family activities. For more than 20 years, Starlight Children’s Foundation has committed itself to improving the quality of life for children with cronic and life threatening illnesses and life -altering injuries by providing entertainment, education and family activities that help them cope with the pain, fear and isolation of prolonged illness.
