Icicles at Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal and a cold snap in Vancouver
It’s so cold in Vancouver (well, technically in West Vancouver) that we found icicles at Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal. I am hoping the cold snap subsides. I had a chance to attend this morning a Tweetup Heatup organized by my good friend Shane Gibson. We handed out blankets and clothes and toques and they flew, completely.
I’m hoping that people will find it in their heart to not only retweet and say “you go!” but also take time to take action and help those in need who are feeling cold right now in Vancouver and are on the streets. I am enroute to Nanaimo and then Parksville with my good friend Cassandra Anderton to cover Parksville Uncorked 2011. But my head is still back and thinking of those in need and facing the cold. Congratulations to my friends Rina Chong and Shane Gibson for their good deed today, and I was so glad to see Wendy Hartley and even one of my current students!
