Wear Pink Shirt Day Vancouver 2011 (Feb 23rd)
Many people find it surprising that I mention I was bullied as a child when they meet my current self (also trained in martial arts and with a rather assertive and self-confident personality). But it’s true, and I have blogged about it here. And every year I try to always remember to wear a pink shirt for Wear Pink Shirt Day (which this year is this coming Wednesday February 21st).
I did not realize this, but London Drugs is selling Wear Pink Shirt Day Vancouver 2011 t-shirts for less than $10, with all proceeds going to Boys and Girls Clubs. I also know my friends from Take 5 Cafe are selling pink cupcakes and fundraising for Boys and Girls Clubs.

(a fundraiser fashion show I am co-organizing with Erin Gee, Niki Blasina and Ashley Mangat, with all proceeds going to Out On Schools). Bullying happens to people of both genders and any sexual orientations. Let’s work together to stop it.
