Free Phone Fridays (Best Buy Canada)

I was contacted by Best Buy Canada a few weeks ago to talk about their Free Phone Fridays, a recent project they launched, and should have launched this post (and its associated giveaway) MUCH earlier, but the whole month of February has been extremely challenging. Nevertheless, here it is, and more importantly, I have a few items to give away. So you may ask yourselves, what is Free Phone Fridays?

Every Friday in February Best Buy Mobile is offering a different smartphone for FREE with 3-year new activation! PLUS Reward Zone members get 2500 bonus points (over $30 value) with any new phone activation including Free Phone Fridays Phones!

I literally *barely* missed this past week’s Free Phone Friday, which gave away BlackBerry Bold 9780 on Bell, TELUS, Rogers and Virgin. The BlackBerry Curve is available on Koodo.

Beginning February 4 and running every Friday in February, Best Buy Mobile will feature two to three free mobile phones in all Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile specialty stores across Canada. Each week will feature at least one high-end, in-demand smart phone for free with a new, in-store three-year activation. Reward Zone members will receive 2,500 points for every new, in-store activation or renewal. The free phones will be announced every Thursday to Best Buy’s Facebook fans and Twitter followers.

I have been entrusted by Best Buy Canada Mobile with a Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate and Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant, as well as 2 $50 dollar gift certificates to give away. My bf has been waffling on what kind of smart phone to get, this would a) make his decision easier and b) make his day! And, it’s GSM so would work for his travels too. Cheers!

Why I need a smartphone – since my IPod touch died, I have felt the absence of an always one (or almost always on) internet device. Slows down my tweeting if nothing else!

I would LOVE to win a Smart Phone…I have a very old (over 5 years) simple phone on a pay as you go plan (costs a fortune) so I rarely ever use it! People laugh when I use my phone, it is so old I would really appreciate learning how to use the phone, being upgraded to newer technology! If I win, I would recycle my old phone

I don’t have a cell phone at all, only a landline. So it would be amazing to win a cell phone and be able to talk to people when I am out of the house!!!

To be able to surf the web conveniently wherever I go, for entertainment (games) while I’m waiting for smething, and to use any kind of instant messenger so that I can connect to my fam in another country instantly

I need a smart phone because as a teacher of special needs kids and a mum to two teenagers who I drive to their numerous activities I need an easy way to keep myself organized and for my kids to be able to get hold of me.

I need a smartphone because the phone i own right now is the only phone i have ever owned.. It is 5 years old… and dying. I want and need a new phone but don’t got the dough to shell out for one. If you want to get a kick out of the phone i own.. it is a Samsung sgh-x507, google it… a pretty ancient, simple, flip phone.

I have been so confused by all the options that I still have my poor old blackberry pearl. I spend more thim elooking at an hourglass than I am ever able to utilize the supposed functions of the phone.

actually i don’t need a new phone as i get mine through work; my husband on the other hand is in desperate need of a phone, he has traded fresh veggies from our garden for a refurbished phone from our friendly neighbourhood dealer but summer is many months away and his current phone is having difficulty charging; i love best buy points and their other electronics
