The ‘bag of additional stuff’

I seriously have no clue how did that happen. I now not only bring along my laptop bag with my laptop, books and papers but I have begun to bring what I have started calling “the bag of additional stuff”. The one I am carrying today has my lunch box (I now make my lunches and take them with me to my office or the university), an umbrella, a set of dress shoes (I change my shoes with the weather, leather-soled shoes tend to not behave well in slippery surfaces), the bag for my digital camera, my travel mug (coffee), and 2 cinnamon buns I just bought, as well as my toque and my ear muffs. Seriously, when did commuting lightly stop?
