The Pavilion at the Firehall Arts Centre (theatre)
I’m a big admirer of Bob Frazer, whom you may remember in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, Othello and It’s a Wonderful Life. He is, in my opinion, one of our best actors out there. And he is now presenting the first play that his new company is putting together, The Pavilion. I will publish a great interview I did in December with Bob Frazer in the next couple of days. But I wanted to write about this production as the previews end tomorrow January 11th and they open on Wednesday January 11th. Featuring Dawn Petten, Craig Erickson, and Parnelli Parnes. Directed by Bob Frazer. This promises to be a great play.
All Peter wants to do is make up for the worst mistake of his life -that’s why he brought the flowers. They should fix things, right? In Osimous Theatre’s production of The Pavilion by Craig Wright (Six Feet Under, Grace), nostalgia is the (prom) king that brings everyone together, telling the story of a yearning for the past strong enough that it will drive someone to attend their 20th high school reunion.
Playing January 8-23 at The Firehall Arts Centre. Performances Tues-Sat at 8pm and Sun at 2pm. 2-for-1 previews January 8, 9, 11th. Pay-what-you-can Wednesday January 19 at 1pm. For tickets ($25) call 604.689.0926 or visit The Firehall Arts Centre website.
