Canadian Sandsculpting Competition in Parksville July 2010

Canadian Open Sand Sculpting Competition (ParksvilleFest) 2010 While on holidays in Parksville and Qualicum Beach, Mom and I had an opportunity to check out the Canadian Sandsculpting Competitions (Parksville BeachFest). We thought that the sand castles would be pretty, but honestly we weren’t ready for such works of art. I took a number of photos, but I am not sure they’ll give justice to the fantastic artistry we witnessed.

we went to the sand castle competition and i must say yes the castles were amazing ….. but what i remember most was how bad it looked overall with a chain link fence surrounding the castles, then covered with advertising …. blocking the view of the beach ….. yes they need to have sponsors, but does one really need to see 25 quality food signs (not actually the number but you get my point) and a host of other repetitive signs? i hope next year they will take the view of parksville into consideration when planning this event …..
