Parksville through the eyes of a foreign visitor (series)
I am in beautiful Parksville, British Columbia, courtesy of Oceanside Tourism Association (Vancouver Island) thanks to a kind invitation by the always amazing Luba Plotnikoff. I had covered the UnCorked Wine and Food Festival before here on my site, and I am delighted to be returning to Parksville and Qualicum Beach, this time with my Mom in tow.
Indeed, my Mom was the inspiration for this visit. Writing about everywhere I travel in British Columbia and other parts of Canada is always fun, but given that I am a Vancouver boy now, it’s always much more fun to see it through the eyes of people who have never been to these parts of Canada. So I suggested to my Mom that she gives me her own insights into her experience at Parksville as a foreign visitor.
Let me tell you that Mexican tourism to Canada and in particular, British Columbia, is quite substantial, and I am glad to have an opportunity to build cross-national bridges. I’m heading out the door with my Mom to explore Parksville and Qualicum Beach, and I hope you enjoy reading of our travels.
