You’re probably not expecting to drown today – @Preventable’s summer campaign
It’s finally warm, it’s finally sunny, and it’s time to go to the beach and enjoy the water. In a safe manner.
As many of you know (particularly if you follow my Twitter feed and read my About Me page), I’m currently contributing to the social media strategy of The Community Against Preventable Injuries (Preventable.ca). Side note – did you know they are running a contest for a $100 gift certificate to Canadian Tire? You can enter by commenting.
Anyways, I was at the press event and had an opportunity to witness first-hand how people stop and think about the message “you are probably not expecting to drown today“. The reactions were to say the least, very interesting. The people I talked to as they walked by said stuff along the lines of “huh… I hadn’t thought about it this way“.
I liked that.
