Know more each day about your audience. Now we need to analyze our audience, we need to understand who they are, what it is that they are consuming and what they are not consuming and find time to do some of the more important news. We need to understand our audience. I would argue that almost noone we are not gathering our audience. WE are building content intuitively.

Saturday May 8, 2010 11:23 Raul
11:24
Raul:

Know SEO > CP style. Knowing SEO might be more important than understanding the style. After all, how are you going to find your audience? Maybe a little while ago, that would attract your audience. Today

11:25
Raul:

Engagement is not a frill.

When you get comments – you need to engage them. You can’t engage in every conversation, but you want to keep the thread on, and when you have an opportunity to do so, you need to really believe that the community will be there.

Community: the flesh is willing, the spirit is not weak.

Saturday May 8, 2010 11:25 Raul

Raul:

The next decade is messy, but I can be fired more easily than you. I encourage the journalists that are around me, to experiment. The ones that stay put, I can’t do much, except keep encouraging them.
