First Annual High-Steppin’ Walk-a-thon Parade @LangaraCollege
Via my friend Trevor Ellestad, I found out about the High-Steppin’ Walk-a-thon Parade along 49th Avenue that Langara College is organizing. From the media invite:
Wear your crazy high heels, cleats, and clogs at the first annual High Steppin’ Walk-a-thon parade. Studio 58 and Langara College Advancement invite students, faculty, staff, and the community to participate in the fun and celebration. Dress up in feathers, glitter and glam, and dance to the funky beat down 49th Avenue.
The High Steppin’ Walk-a-thon will feature music by local DJ talent r i c c o, and awards will be granted to the most outrageous participants by a distinguished panel of judges from the Vancouver theatre community.
Sponsored by Langara College Advancement, this explosive event is in support of the Lloyd Nicholson Memorial Endowed Scholarship.
I can’t make it at it is at a time when I’m actually teaching but I’d love to see lots of people joining.
