Schedule your posts throughout the week (Blogging 201)
I am terrible with this particular piece of advice. I used to be really good at using the “Time Stamp” feature of WordPress, but sometimes, I just feel that I need to get some stuff out of the way and I feel that I need to provide my readers with more content (I also will fully admit that it’s all about me sometimes, I really want to get some stuff out of the way and speak about it or write about it on my blog.
Frequently, I have a very short attention span, so I publish my blog posts whenever they come to me. But the problem is, that means that sometimes I just blurt out the posts because I have an idea in my head. So I’ve learned the hard way that, perhaps, the best way is to just write when I feel inspired and then time-stamp the blog post. That means, change the date in the “Publish immediately” area of the Publish tab.
So, for those of you who are more seasoned bloggers (who write at least one or two entries a day), you can time-stamp them whenever you feel inspired. I have done that for Tuesday of this week, to avoid publishing so many entries in one day!
