International Women Day is March 8th
A while ago, I tweeted that it was hard for me to realize how much women have had to fight to break what is often called “the glass ceiling”, considering that I had been raised by a very strong woman, whom my father saw as his equal. My Mom has always been my best friend, and she knows A LOT of stuff that probably not everybody has shared with their mother.
I have always had very strong, very smart female friends. My cousin M has also always been a great friend, as have my sisters in law. That’s the kind of women I hang out with. I guess in a way I surround myself with women like my Mom. So, I ask for forgiveness for sometimes forgetting that the fight for women’s rights has been a long one. Celebrating women in my life (you all know who you are). Happy International Women Day (tomorrow, March 8th).

I think there’re still lots to change, but so far everything that was done, was a victory for many women.
And we should never stop fighting
Alot of people don’t realise that the majority of people hungry around the world are women… and yet these women produce 60-80% of the food! The answer to hunger, I really believe lies with women.
