Win tickets to I Was Meant for the Stage (theatre)
As the Vancouver 2010 Olympics action wanes, our city continues to have amazing artistic stuff. The Vancouver theatre community knows that I give them priority when it comes to coverage on my blog, for many reasons, not the least of them that I’ve been a stage actor since I was 14. This time, the folks at Pacific Theatre are being kind enough to give away a pair of tickets to I Was Meant for the Stage. Below a brief description.
The life of the theatre! An homage to the spectacle, joy, stress, pain, elation, sensitivity, low self-esteem, egotism, rejection, and intimacy that we dedicate our lives to. From Shakespeare to showbiz, from first audition to final bow, join Pacific Theatre as we cut and paste theatre history into a tragic and hilarious pastiche. Featuring the writing and music of Robert Lepage, William Shakespeare, Christopher Durang, David Mamet, Daniel MacIvor, Queen, Noel Coward, and The Decemberists.
This wonderful performance will be playing March 10-13 at 8pm. For tickets ($17-24, GST incl.) you can call 604.731.5518 or buy tickets online at PacificTheatre.org.
To be entered into a contest to win a pair of tickets, drop a comment on this post. I will be drawing the winners on Wednesday March 3rd, at 11:30am.
