Joannie Rochette is the 2010 Olympic bronze medalist
Only four days after the terrible passing of her Mom, Canadian champion and reigning world silver medalist Joannie Rochette produced a very good long program to win a bronze medal in the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. Under the circumstances, nobody in their right mind would have expected Joannie to skate, let alone finish in the top three. We (all of us in Canada and many people worldwide) are incredibly proud of her accomplishments.
We salute you, Joannie, for an amazing effort and triumph!

Hello/bonjour Joannie my deepest sympathy.
Mes plus sincères condoléances et lâches pas t’es superbe ma belle, et tu es notre héroine Olympique 2010. Je t’es regarder à chaque fois et je priais pour que tu montes sur le podium. Mes prières ont été exhausées. Bravo Joannie tous le Canada t’adore! Ton père est rempli d’amour pour toi et cela parait (via les caméras en direct à la télévision). Prends soins de ton papa et prends soins de toi. Noublie jamais une chose à chaque fois que tu seras en compétition (demande à ta mère de veiller sur toi). Elle sera ton ange gardien.
D’un maman de famille (Gatineau, Québec) qui admire ton courage et ta détermination. Bravo Joannie!
