MukMuk rally to upgrade to full mascot at Vancouver Art Gallery

As it usually happens when my dance card is full, I was late to the rally that was being organized on Twitter to have MukMuk (the lovely marmot-inspired mascot of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic) upgraded from sidekick to main mascot. I was right in the middle of an online meeting and arrived late. However, my friend Chris Breikss (founder of 6S Marketing) went to the rally and he allowed me to use his YouTube video of the demonstration. Personally, I like all the mascots, but I find MukMuk really cute. (Also, side note – FYI – my birthday is in September and I love plushies). A MukMuk plush mascot would be a really nice addition to my (growing) stuffed animals collection. Just saying…

Video below courtesy of Chris Breikss. Thanks for letting me use it!

UPDATE – I found a story on CanWest Vancouver Sun “Free MukMuk” – people still comment how much they love MukMuk. I think I’m going to make this post a Campaign to Make MukMuk a Main Mascot for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic and Paralympic Games.

“I love plushies” is a statement someone prone to misinterpretation, wouldn’t you say?

Shame this had to happen when Colbert was back in Yankistan. He’d have been all over this.
