Happy Valentine’s Day
As I mentioned on Twitter, Valentine’s Day (February 14th) is celebrated in Mexico (and other Spanish-speaking countries) as “El Dia del Amor y la Amistad” (the day of love and friendship). I will admit that I used to write these long winded emails to each and every one of my loved friends to remind them how much I cared for them. Then I got into social media. And the number of dear friends of mine grew.
A LOT.
So now I blog about it, and I remind my friends to come check my February 13/14th entry and when they do, remember how much I care for them. Even with my little random texts, I’m saying “I care for you”. Even when I am overbooked and it takes me MONTHS to make a date to see you. Even when I feel that I need space and I retreat from my common “Hummingbird”-like behaviour to being just a polar bear.
I CARE.
I do hope that whether you’re single, attached, in a complicated situationship, or whatever your status, you enjoy this day. Because chances are, if you are reading this, someone here loves you.
A LOT.
Happy Valentine’s Day.
