House of Switzerland Vancouver 2010 Grand Opening
I was feeling exhausted and a bit down because of a really rough week I had just recently had, and Rebecca invited me to come down to the House of Switzerland‘s grand opening. I knew that Emme Rogers was also going to be there, as well as other friends of ours, so I ended up leaving my UBC office early, coming down and having some chocolate. Now I’m officially accredited with HOS.
The House of Switzerland is a really great opportunity to learn more about Switzerland (a country I absolutely adore, particularly because several of the United Nations agencies are located in Geneva, including some of the chemicals management agencies – as you may know, my research has spanned water, wastewater and hazardous waste).
The House of Switzerland is being hosted by the restaurant Bridges, one of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. You can read my review of Bridges here. I had a really good time at the opening, particularly as Emme Rogers was kind enough to help me out with some media issues. It’s always nice to share a special occasion with a few good friends.
I would recommend visitors to Vancouver to check the House of Switzerland, I definitely will be coming back.

The House of Switzerland is definitely on my to-do list for when I get there! Glad to hear it was a good time!
