Teach me Scrabble
After reading all those posts about how talented I am (modesty doesn’t become me, does it now?) you probably think that I know how to play every single game that there is on Earth. Um, no. I am ashamed to admit that I have no clue how to play Scrabble. And the worst part? My good friend Arieanna is on Words for Friends (an iPhone app that I just downloaded – because yes, I *am* addicted to my iPhone).
The only problem is that, even though I’ve downloaded the iPhone app, I can’t play against Arieanna yet because, well, I don’t actually know how to play Scrabble. So, how about I buy you a coffee and you teach me how to play Scrabble? I mean, seriously. It’s embarrassing to admit that I don’t know how to play Scrabble. But hopefully, before the end of the week, I’ll be able to.

What, no offers yet? TLO is a solid Scrabble player. I’ll see what I can do.
I am a Scrabble lover. I play it on Facebook. It is pretty simple to learn Raul, I’m sure you could pick it up quickly, what with your big brain.
Basically you just spell out words using your 7 letter tiles and what is on the board, and try to score as many points for the word as possible.
@ Ryan – thanks! I’d love it if TLO could teach me Scrabble.
@ Barbara – I felt so embarrassed to admit publicly that I didn’t know how to play it, but I figured “heck, I can ask people if they would be willing to teach me”.
You’re missing out! I love Scrabble (maybe because I’m a writer by trade).
In a nutshell, you get seven letter tiles and you have to form words using those tiles, linking off of the tiles that have already been placed on the board. Each letter has a certain value and then there are bonus spaces on the board for more points. Person with the most points at the end wins.
how to move chosen letters from my tray to the board ~ that is what i call basic. any help for the basics
