My 2010: Teaching
I am passionate about teaching. I was born in a family of educators. My Dad has taught, my Mom is a professor, two of my brothers have undertaken PhDs and taught in American universities (one of them is actually an Assistant Professor in a US university). I have taught high-school, undergraduate and graduate level, in Canada and other North American and European countries. Teaching is in my blood and in my soul.
Great thing is, I will continue doing it. I will be teaching two university-level courses (political science), two college level courses (quantitative methods and economics). I will also be teaching a few workshops and seminars. I suspect that I’ll be doing short, bootcamp-style workshops rather than over-three-days kind of programmes, simply given my availability of time this 2010.
I’m really excited about my teaching in 2010 for many reasons, but one of them is that I get to teach courses that complement my portfolio. When I was teaching Public Policy (the Canadian-focused one) I was annoyed at the fact that I didn’t have a chance to bring in cross-national comparative perspectives. Now that I get to teach that course, I am delighted that my teaching portfolio is more rounded up.

Good luck with your teaching! I personally would be terrified to stand up in front of a class and teach!
Sounds like you have some challenging and diverse courses there!
