Towards Zero Waste – Metro Vancouver Sustainability Breakfast Nov 4th
I have made a point of attending all the Metro Vancouver sustainability breakfasts that I can. Not because I actually *have* the time, but because these gatherings are an effort on the part of the regional body (not sure if I could call Metro Vancouver a regional ‘authority’ since they don’t enforce or make law) to increase public participation. This month’s sustainability breakfast will probably be a heated one, because of the discussions about the possibility of implementing a Waste-To-Energy facility here in Vancouver. As I mentioned when I sat in the Regional Dialogue a few weeks back, I think Metro Vancouver is, indeed, trying to implement a good public participation strategy. I will definitely be at this breakfast.
