On outburst, passion and frustrations
I rarely, very very very rarely shout. Not on Twitter, not on Facebook, not on any platform. And not even in real life. This morning, while trying to create a Facebook event, I tried to email all my friends to share it with them (it’s on my Facebook profile now, but still not shared with my friends thanks to annoying Facebook). I shouted on Twitter how much I hated it (and yes, I deleted that tweet by now).
I feel really bad about that. I’m passionate, yes. I live my life to the fullest, yes. I can’t do anything in the middle. I’m not a middle-of-the-ground kind of guy. I love, and I hate. I enjoy and I suffer. And everything I do, I do intensely. I know that there’s something to be said for being level, and I definitely are 99.9 % of the time (I am a Virgo, after all). But today, I just couldn’t cope.
So, I’m going to echo my good friend Susie Gardner in saying “I’m breaking up with you, technology. It’s not me, it’s YOU”
Hope you all are doing well on this Friday afternoon. I’m heading out for some fresh air and errands.

Shouting can be good and cathartic at times – and no one would think any less of you for shouting, Raul. Thanks for the post, it made me smile.

When you use technology to announce you’re breaking up with it, isn’t that a little like that line in Sex and the City when Skipper announced he was breaking up with his girlfriend while still inside of her?
