Roxette’s comeback in the fall of 2009
I listened to Roxette’s songs in my early years and I have loved each and every single one of them. Swedish duo Marie Frederiksson and Per Gelle made history in the late 80s and early 90s with songs like “Dressed for Success”, “It Must Have Been Love” and “Spending My Time”. Of course, I had my favorites (like Paint – the early version, not the one that they tended to sing closer to 1991) but, overall, it was absolutely delightful for me to listen to their music.
I learned through their Wikipedia entry that apparently they’re getting back together as a duo and will have a full-fledged tour in the fall of 2009. Marie suffered a brain tumor and thus it’s amazing that she is back singing. Below is the May 2009 rendition of “The Look”. Roxette rules!
